Symbols World Cup

1998 FIFA World Cup France

The official mascot of this World Cup was Footix, a cockerel with the words "FRANCE 98" on the chest. Its body is mostly blue, like the host's national team shirt and its name is a portmanteau of "football" and the ending "-ix" from the popular Astérix comic strip.
  
2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan






Orange, purple and blue (respectively) futuristic, computer-generated creatures. Collectively members of a team of "Atmoball" (a fictional football-like sport), Ato is the coach while Kaz and Nik are players. The three individual names were selected from shortlists by users on the Internet and at McDonald's outlets in the host countries.

2006 FIFA World Cup Germany

Goleo is clad in a white football shirt with black collar and sleeve rims, similar to those worn by the German national team between the 1950s and 1970s, and is trouserless. He wears the shirt number 06 (for the 2006 FIFA World Cup) and has his name written above it on the back of his shirt. The Goleo costume was manufactured by The Jim Henson Company, at a cost of around 250,000 euro. The word Pille , meaning " pill " in standard German , is otherwise a common German sports jargon for a football.
  

2010 FIFA World Cup SUDAFRICA

Zakumi is a leopard, a common animal found in South Africa, with green hair wearing a shirt saying South Africa 2010. Zakumi's green and gold colors represent South African national sports' teams’ colors. His name comes from "ZA", the ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code for South Africa, and "kumi", a word that means "ten" in various African languages.
  
2010 WORLDS CUP SONGS 

Every World Cup generates a wide range of pop music recorded in celebration of the event and to support national teams. These are songs for World Cup 2010.
  
1. K'Naan - "Wavin Flag”

His song "Wavin' Flag" was first released in March of 2009. The song was chosen to be reworked into a Canadian charity single for Haiti in early 2010 recorded by Young Artists for Haiti. That version of "Wavin' Flag" debuted at #1 on the Canadian pop singles chart. Coca-Cola chose K'Naan's "Wavin' Flag" as their official theme for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The song was re-recorded yet again as a "Celebration Mix" for the event.


2. Shakira - "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)"

Shakira's song "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)" was chosen by FIFA as an official anthem of the 2010 World Cup. It was recorded with South African group Freshlyground. The recording includes a sample from the 1986 song "Zangalewa" by the Cameroonian band Golden Sounds. "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)" has reached the top 10 on pop singles charts across Europe.

WORLD CUP GUEST ARTISTS


The grand finale of the 2010 world cup counted with 80 artists, including internationally acclaimed musical ensemble Africa Umoja.  Assisted by the South African president Jacob Zuma and FIFA President Sepp Blatterare. Too was present winners Nobel Peace Priza  and  Archbishop Desmond Tutu as well as football icons Franz Beckenbauer, Michel Platini and Roger Miller, the executive director in the corporate and shared services department, Reuben Denge,  All Joburg members of the mayoral committee, joined by the executive director in the 2010 Office, Sibongile Mazibuko.


FIFA 2010 selected the Emmy Award-winning producer Kevin Wall and his company Control Room to organise and produce the concert. Were presented Global superstars like Alicia Keys, Amadou & Mariam, Angélique Kidjo, Black Eyed Peas, BLK JKS, John Legend, Juanes, The Parlotones, Tinariwen, Vieux Farka Touré and Vusi Mahlasela took to the stage at Orlando Stadium in Soweto on the eve of the opening match. In the aperture was carried out by singer/songwriter Shakira with "Waka Waka" and the FIFA song along with a local South African Group.

Also was counted with a crowd of 30,000 and was transmitted to hundreds of millions more worldwide.

Between the sponsors 2010 World Cup of the FIFA were found the next: Budweiser, Castrol, Continental, McDonalds, Satyam and Yingly Solar

As for sponsors, for the 2006 World Cup in Germany, FIFA has 15 official partners and six national suppliers. The partners include Coca-Cola, Mastercard, Hyundai, Toshiba, Yahoo, and Budweiser.

The 15 official sponsors of the FIFA 2002 World Cup  were: adidas, Avaya, Budweiser, Coca-Cola, Fujifilm, Fuji Xerox, Gillette, Hyundai, JVC, KT/NTT, MasterCard, McDonald's, Philips, Toshiba y Yahoo!

And the 1998 World Official Cup THE Sponsors are:
Adidas-Salomon , Fuji Photo Film Co,  Victor Company of Japan Ltd (JVC), Canon Inc. Philips Electronics, Anheuser-Busch, Gillette Co, General Motors, Coca Cola Co and McDonald's Corp.

  5. Though I do not know of football and I do not like it...
    I surprise much of the world ones the quantity of money that they spend and also the deployment of the massive means of communication: all transmitting the same football match, the same events ... it is as if the world was paralyzed!!!
